Freddy Perry

“Nothing is impossible, the impossible is just a little less chill.”

Freddy Perry has been tucked away in the streets of Norway for some time now. But, on a quest to shake up his every day, he’s dusted off his New Zealand passport and ventured down under to continue the cycle of endless winters.

A self-confessed ‘silly guy’, Freddy is known equally for his sense of humour as he is for his snowboarding. In the real world, extreme sports and belly laughs don’t exactly go hand in hand, but as it turns out, this is Freddy’s world and we’re just living in it.

What a world he’s helped to shape for snowboarding. Freddy is known as the mastermind behind Benchpress The Movie, which later evolved into Bench Heaven, a snowboarding event held in Oslo, which remarkably only rewarded the women with prize money.

Freddy has countless video parts and has also produced many of his own videos, all of which are sure to take you on a roller coaster ride. His underground blockbusters deliver the perfect balance of gasping, hands-over-eyes, relief, celebration and of course, will leave you in stitches.

Freddy is often left in stitches himself, but not the good kind. His ‘go hard or go home’ mentality and ability to think outside the box has seen him finish second best to the concrete more times than he likes to admit. It could just come down to bad luck, but it’s more likely his tendency to visualise an opportunity in the unthinkable. While Freddy’s mission impossible has its setbacks, the gnarly slams are outweighed by his prowess on a board.

Inspired by Diplo’s house, buildings, stories of underdogs and humans who accomplish crazy physical and mental feats; it’s hard to pinpoint exactly what crazy idea Freddy’s brain will spit out next. One thing’s for sure – it’ll be far from boring.
