Mitch first discovered snowboarding when he was eight years old, not long after this parents bought him a snowboard for his birthday, at which point he thought he was set for life.
He did the odd weekend mission with his parents to Wanaka to ride at Cardrona and was completely hooked on the sport. When he was 10 they moved to Mount Maunganui in the Bay Of Plenty where he learnt to surf and spent every spare moment in the ocean. Mitch describes, “I was really lucky that I was able to travel back to Wanaka each winter with my family, the split seasons keep me going back and forth between the two locations and developing my skills as a surfer and a snowboarder that complimented each other very well.“
Once he hit 12 year old he started traveling overseas to snowboard in during summer back home. His first trip was to Japan and since then has travelled to many other countries including USA, Norway, France, Italy, Canada, Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Chile.
Mitch aims to keep living my dream of snowboarding and traveling the world for as long as possible.
