The desire to share our passion for the outdoors is the catalyst behind all we do as a company and the reason that we work to protect our outdoor areas.
The desire to share our passion for the outdoors is the catalyst behind all we do as a company and the reason that we work to protect our outdoor areas, reduce and offset our greenhouse gas emissions, and lower the environmental impacts of our facilities. As a co-founder of The Conservation Alliance we have contributed more than $1 million to the organization’s grant fund. Our athletes are empowering students to take action on climate change through Hot Planet/Cool Athletes presentations, and the Explore Fund is helping young people across the country experience and explore the outdoors. At our headquarters in California, more than 100% of our electricity is provided by renewable sources.
The North Face was built on a love for the outdoors and the desire to enable all types of exploration, from your backyard to the Himalayas. Over the last 50 years we've lived by our “true north,” the belief that exploration has the power to change us, to challenge us and to help us see the world from new perspectives.
As we enter our sixth decade, we pledge to:
Our sustainability mission is to protect our outdoor playgrounds and communities through the design and development of environmentally and socially responsible products and business practices.
