Angie started climbing when she was seven years old. By the age of nine she’d set the record as the youngest person to ever lead a Grade 31 climb – ‘Swingline’ at Red River Gorge, USA. A year later, at the age of ten, she became the youngest person to send a grade 32/33 — ‘Welcome to Tijuana’ in Rodellar Spain.
She has continued to excel, pushing herself further in sport climbing but also making strides in bouldering and speed climbing. In her debut film, ‘Pacific Lines’ Angie explored her cultural roots in Tonga while also learning to set new routes with Lee Cossey on the island of ʻEua.
Angie is based in the Blue Mountains but from late 2019 she has been training in Austria with her sights set on the 2020 Olympics.
